Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos is a SRPG videogame produced for the PlayStation Portable, by Namco Bandai. The game features characters from the Queen's Blade franchise as well as game exclusive characters, such as Jean and Cute.
With the Queen's Blade Tournament ongoing, rumors arise about a dark, mysterious power threatening to destroy all of Gainos. With the new heroes, Cute and Jean, and the rest of the Queen's Blade competitors, they seek to find the root of this power and destroy it to restore balance to the land.
Gameplay[]
The game features tactical, turn based combat, with moves being decided prior to engaging an enemy. During battle, there is an armor based system that enables parts of armor to be broken off of most of the characters, excluding the males and creatures. Attacks cannot be chosen to target said body parts, but have a set body part in which they hit. There is also an relationship building part of the game, as such when certain characters have a higher affinity for each other they may be able to perform team based moves. If the affinity is high enough, the other character may jump in front of some attacks and take damage for the other character. Each character has certain class types, set in a Rock-Paper-Scissors format. The classes are Strength (sword, red), which is more of an aggressive type, Beauty (moon, blue) which is more neutral and all-around, and Gentle (flower, yellow) which is more defensive and evasive and serves to heal.(Flower beats Sword, Sword beats Moon, and Moon beats Flower.) There are also different story routes to take, leading onto multiple playthroughs and several different endings, with the play data from previous playthroughs carrying over to new ones.
