Queen's Gate: Spiral Chaos is a SRPG videogame produced for the PlayStation Portable by Namco Bandai Games. The game is a sequel to Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos. It features returning game exclusive characters Jean and Cute, and introduces a new heroine, Maron Makaron. It also features characters from other forms of media, such as the Soul Calibur, Tekken, Dead or Alive, Samurai Showdown, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, and the King of Fighters fighting game series, as well as other anime and manga series.
Story[]
An old artifact discovered, The Queen's Gate, able to distort time and space, is looted and threatens to permanently disrupt the dimensional harmonic balance. Because of this disturbance, numerous worlds and dimensions overlap, allowing fighters from different times and galaxies to gather together to help save the time-space from spiraling into chaos.
Alice, Maron and company eventually discover that the mastermind behind it all was the dimension-travelling being called Conqueror of Darkness Weiss, who, intending to eat Queen's Gate to restore her native star, employed Luna, Aine and Hyumina to destroy the worlds and bring the gate to her. Her plans are ultimately foiled by the 3 Dragon Goddesses (Ranshel & Sushel, along with Mishel who shares Cute's body), who turn into a dragon and sacrifice themselves to push Weiss back beyond the edge of the dimension.
Gameplay[]
The gameplay is similar to its predecessor, keeping the same tactical, turn-based combat. The Sword, Flower, and Moon class types make a return, as well as the armor breaking system. One of the more notable new features is the kiss mode, which if Jean is able to get one of the girls to like him a lot, she then kisses him, and enables new abilities such as jumping in the way of certain attacks, and team attacks. Another returning feature is the multiple playthroughs, also featuring multiple endings with the play data going over to the new playthroughs.
